The annual Council of the Federation Literacy Award recognizes outstanding achievement, innovative practice and excellence in literacy.

This is an opportunity to celebrate the efforts of people from all walks of life who are contributing to increased literacy across British Columbia.

The award covers: early childhood, school-age, family, Aboriginal, adult, health, workplace, immigrant and community literacy.

Possible recipients include: educators, volunteers, learners, community organizations and businesses.

You are encouraged to nominate an individual, group or project that has made a significant contribution to the field of literacy in British Columbia, or a learner who has achieved individual learning success.

The 2010 Call for Nominations will begin in March 2010.
